Course Descriptions
Billing and Coding Specialist
Cost: $1600
Length: 14 weeks
Program Summary: As a Billing and Coding Specialist, you will accurately record and process data about patients, such as diagnosis and treatment records, insurance information, billing and recording receipt of payments. In this program you will learn how to code a patient’s diagnosis and treatment using ICD-9 and ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes and request payment from payers, including insurance companies or individuals, maximizing reimbursement for the provider. You will practice claims submission using Medisoft software and work in an electronic health record. A Billing and Coding Specialist may work in a hospital, doctor’s office, and other healthcare settings. This program is 115 hours in length offered online with live, bi-weekly teleconferences.
Electronic Health Records Specialist
Cost: $3600
Length: 20 weeks
Program Summary: As an Electronic Health Record (EHR) Specialist you will assist healthcare providers to choose, implement, train and maintain an electronic heath records system. You will learn the essential components of the electronic health record and health information exchange essentials; system selection and implementation; project management and fundamentals of change and human factors. This course is 216 hours in length offered online with live, weekly teleconferences.
ICD-10 Billing & Coding
Cost: $1099
Length: 7 weeks
Program Summary: As a Coding professional you know the importance of keeping up-to-date with the most current diagnosis codes. Prepare for the future of coding with the latest most comprehensive update of the code set. The current rule published in the Federal Register sets the adoption of ICD-10-CM to replace ICD-9-CM, Volumes 1 and 2 to go into effect October 1, 2014. Start down the road to success by learning the latest version of the ICD-10-CM code set. This program is 56 hours in length offered online with live, weekly teleconferences.
Nursing Home Administrator
Cost: $3450
Length: 20 weeks
Program Summary: As a Nursing Home Administrator you will work in a field where you can help people and families protect their quality of life and dignity as they and their loved ones age. In this program you will be learn about the aging process, common diseases and disorders, long-term care health professional roles and responsibilities, how to manage personnel and employee benefits, types and requirements for government and third-party billing, how to develop safety, quality assurance, marketing and strategic plans, the basics of finance and accounting and preparation and follow-up of licensure, certification and accreditation surveys. Nursing Home Administrators are in demand in nursing facilities, assistive living and residential care, continuing care communities, traditional retirement homes and senior housing. This program is 180 hours in length offered online with live, weekly teleconferences.
